I always loved the relation ship the Woodland Elves and the Men of Dale/Lake Town, so I built a deck around it.

The idea is that the Cloak of Lorien and Mithril Shirt go on Thranduil to boost his defense. Brand gets the King of Dale, Necklace of Girion, Orcrist, and Unexpected Courage for pumping out Dale allies.

Bard gets any number of weapons to pump up his damage or Celebrian's Stone for Willpower boost.

I ran an extra card since I'm not sure what to trim at this point.

Did you consider Spare Hood and Cloak ? when The Elvenking returns Galion to your hand, Bard's response lets you get back the Spares attached on him and draw during the next turn.

@Marcelfyour deck is actually what inspired me to do this! I got the idea for the heroes and I looked up who had put together a deck for them and you were one of the only viable ones here.

I tweaked the deck for what I have currently and what I plan to get (Wilds of Rhovanion and Fire in the Night), so it's by no means a fully tweaked/vetted deck.

@Marcelfso yes I definitely want to pick up that box so I could do that trick. I see it + Brand + Orcrist being a huge boon.

Thanks @Jreilly89now I see your deck is derived from mine^^ In my tests I didn't find the deck completely satisfying, so I tried another version with Arwen Undómiel and Elf-friend . Here it is : ringsdb.com

@Marcelf any reason you switched to Arwen? Just more Willpower?

I also copied this deck and tried a fun Sands of Harad variant with Gimli and Legolas.

More willpower, the ability to discard copies of unique cards, and the ability to play Steward during turn 1 by playing elf-friend on Brand.
