This deck is meant to played in conjunction with the "Ever present Lords of the Eldar" deck. (http://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/803/ever-present-lords-of-the-eldar-2.0) That way most of the characters will benefit from the recurring bonus of Lords of the Eldar
One of the key principles of the deck was stolen from Seastans "Everything* Costs 2" (http://ringsdb.com/decklist/view/818/everything-costs-2-1.0) in the regard that Zigil Miner is the main resource generating machine. On one hand, since Galdor is used in the other deck as an ally it is not as easy to find him. On the other hand, you will get some extra draws by Deep Knowledge played by the companion deck. Imladris Stargazer was included in the deck, because she is Noldor, costs 2, and helps finding the dwarf and other important cards.
Since the biggest weakness of the other deck is treacheries I decided on Eleanor to handle those, instead of A Test of Will.
The very first turn can be a bit slow due to three spheres and almost everything costing 2. So Tighten Our Belts was a natural fit.
All allies in the deck cost 2, so A Very Good Tale will always bring two extra allies unless you only find one, with 24 allies in the deck the odds are in your favor. As an extra benefit it will also help finding the miner.
I doubt that the deck will work solo but in tandem with another Noldor deck it becomes quite powerful.

Apr 20, 2016Thanks for the feedback. So far it has been working really well with the other Noldor deck. Next step will be an upgrade to the fellowship to accommodate three players. Which will probably include Song of Wisdom and A Burning Brand in the third deck to buff up Elrohir and Elladan even further and make some room in the first deck to get some extra speed on the table. |
Oct 06, 2017Quite possibly a very dumb question, as I do feel like I most be missing something very obvious, but how do you attach the Spear of the Citadel on Elrohir when he isn't a character? |

Nice deck! I really like the concept of Zigil Miner miner dumping resources onto Elrohir, especially with Elven Mail and Spear of the Citadel attached.
