These are some helpful hints to using this deck, which was built with one core set and the Lost Realm deluxe expansion. •Sneak Attack/Gandalf is still the best combo in the game. Save for when you really need it.
• Stand and Fight does NOT work with Gandalf. It does work with Beorn or with Snowbourn Scout.
•Use Éowyn's ability to pitch an attachment while Erebor Hammersmith is in hand. Next turn, play the Hammersmith and get that attachment back.
•Henamarth Riversong's ability should be played after combat phase.
•Steward of Gondor will usually go on Eowyn. Theodred is second choice. Don't forget Theodred's resource from questing can go on himself or Eowyn as needed.
•1st turn quest with Théodred and Eowyn (giving the resource to Eowyn unless you have Steward of Gondor in hand), leaving Beravor to defend or draw two cards.
•Unexpected Courage goes on Beravor for card draw.
Use Snowbourn Scouts with Expert Trackers clear locations. •Use Dwarven Tomb to get back A Test of Will or The Galadrahim's Greeting. Ranger Summons works because of Beravor. These ranger allies are great when you can get them.
•For Gondor! for one big attack.
•Faramir exhausts after revealing cards from the encounter deck, if needed. Otherwise, he defends.
Awesome!
