Milletits 1
A first try to create a deck with the core set (3x) and expansions up to Darrowdelf cycle. The focus is on healing, deck-manupulation and amassing resources. And last, but not least: I wanted to create a deck without the Eowyn-willpower-monster; it seems everyone creates starter decks with Eowyn. I'll have to try if my concept works. Suggestions are welcome.
Play Steward of Gondor on Elrohir to generate more resources. With the resources of Radagast you can acummulate resources to recruit allies. Rivendell Minstrel will help you to bring Song of Battle. You play Song of Battle on Elrohir to generate tactic resources which you need for Beorn and Rivendell Blade. Since there are a lot of lore-cards in the deck Resourceful should be played on Elrond to fix this problem. A Good Harvest may be helpful meanwhile. With Vilya Elrond gains the spirit resource icon too.
Sneak Attack makes a nice combo with Gandalf or Beorn until you have enough resources to bring Beorn regulary to your line up of allies.
Daughter of the Nimrodel and Self Preservation will heal your main characters and help them to survive. Radagast can also be used as a healer if necessary.
To manipulate your deck and the encounter deck you can use Gandalf, Gildor Inglorion, Gléowine, Henamarth Riversong, Imladris Stargazer, Master of the Forge and last but not least Elrond with Vilya. The combo Elrond and Vilya gives you a discount, which can be useful for playing more expensive cards.
To gain enough willpower for your quests you can use Faramir,Celebrían's Stone, Light of Valinor, Protector of Lórien, The Favor of the Lady and or Unexpected Courage. These cards give to either a boost to the willpower of your characters or enable your characters to go for quests without exhausting them.
Besides having enough willpower to resolve the quests you may advance (bring some progress-tokens to adventures and locations) using Lórien Guide, Northern Tracker and of course Asfaloth which you play on Glorfindel.
