The Burglar's Turn is perhaps the weakest and less played contract of all. it gains effectivity with the alep-hero Widfast, because you can now travel to 2 locations and therefore have potential to get 2 of the treasures hidden.
the rest of the deck is a mono-spirit-mining deck without attachments. for discrding and protection the spiritdain is perfect.
little advice:

do not forget to use Widfast other ability to get her her falcon for free 1. round

mulligan for the Imladris Stargazer then you will find a Zigil Miner faser and can pay for the expensive locationcontroller.

try to get 2 active location as soon as possible (ability of Widfast)

if there are not enough locations there, use #Dunedain Pathfinder

give a look at the new Hunting Dogs together with the Rhovanion Outrider and the Rider of Rohan you can have up to 9 allies with possible 2/2 and 6 of them with options for 2. action after questing

Glorfindel can be mined away and be paid later

Emery allways succed and have option for Hidden Cache or Ered Luin Miner
if Dáin Ironfoot is needed elsewher, you can replace him with Aragorn. then you should add 3 Tale of Tinúviel from th sideboard into your deck.
if arwen is needed elsewhere, for the Elven-light-discard, Legolas or Éowyn can also be used. it would slow up the deck because less res, but more options in multiplayer(she will do her best in the other deck)

Jan 17, 2023Surprised not to see a bit of further location control here, such as West Road Traveller, Thrór's Key, or A Watchful Peace. And what about some Ancient Mathom? Another thought -- would this be better with access to ? That opens up a lot of new options for location manipulation. Particularly, this contract is very dependent on getting locations in play, and outside of multiplayer you may hit a drought of locations without something like The Hidden Way to pull more. |
Jan 17, 2023I think Forest Road Traveler would be a great addition in a Lore version or with Stand and Fight. I think that Spare Hood and Cloak is just bad, and Thrór's Map doesn't work well with Widfast. |
Jan 17, 2023it was well chosen by me. monospirit, because many allies cost 3. so most times , 1 per round @kjeld u know the contract? yes Spare Hood and Cloak seems not worth it, but its is hard to get refreshing into the game. attachments can only be items or artifacts, so no courage, no horses,..... only way cloak, miruvor and ring all only allowed once in the pile. glad to hear better refreshment under this circumstances..... Thrór's Map map is independent of Widfast you can use it easily after using #widfast to get an location with attachement in the staging and clear them with Rhovanion Outrider and Northern Tracker Forest Road Traveler are not better than my other allies that would quest or 2. and go away from monospirit makes Emery worse and my good allies harder to play. |

Jan 18, 2023i think you are right. but is it worth to replace a spirithero with lore-hero? you cannot play within 1 round and Emery is not secure anymore if you get them safe, i would say it could be worth it, but 3 of them in the deck and perhaps never see one, is not worth the flaws. i think i would play them in a woodman-locationdeck, that could perhaps be combines with Widfast and it is perhaps even better than this one, but it is a different concept. and woodman is not very good as The Burglar's Turn because you want to play attachments from your hand. keeping it The Burglar's Turn which hero do you want to replace and with what? |
Jan 18, 2023playing solo, it could make sense, replace arwen or dain with elrond, he can pay or both spheres recording to allies, but in multi it would be an under-use of elronds potential. |
I think Silver Circlet, Silver Lamp, or Citadel Plate would be better in the loot deck.
