Introduction

Here is the dwarven theme deck I play against the scenario Deadmen's Dike. It's a fairly standard deck, to which I've added 3 x Will of the West, 2 x Armored Destrier, 2 x Dwarf Pipe, and the Gandalf / Sneak Attack duo, three copies each.

Strategy

• Mulligan for Legacy of Númenor, Deep Knowledge, Gandalf and Sneak Attack, or Steward of Gondor. At least two dwarves in first hand is nice too
• Attach Armored Destrier and Steward of Gondor to Dáin Ironfoot
• Don't commit all your dwarves on quests; keep them as possible chump-blockers, and only move on to step 2 once your board is well established
• Travel to Fornost Square
• Defend against Baleful Shade with Dáin Ironfoot. Reduce his hit points or defeat him with Gandalf if able
• No need to use some Zigil Miner's action : the scenario delves for us and can nicely discard Hidden Cache and Ered Luin Miner in order to increase our resources and put dwarves into play
• When your deck is reduced by a third or half, play a copy of Will of the West. Don't wait for playing that
• Commit to encounter side-quests only during step 1B. Use these side-quests as a safeguard to prevent you from reaching step 2A too quickly
• Be sure to have cleaned the staging area up before going to step 2A
• During step 2B, rush! Don't waste time on side quests: keep them in play to boost Iarion's stats, quest for the main quest, sacrifice your weakest allies defending against Thaurdir (accept the cost of the three discarded cards), and spank him using your available dwarven allies and Dain's bonus, Lure of Moria, Iarion, and Gandalf.

I first considered Hardy Leadership, Narvi's Belt, Ancestral Armor and Dwarven Tomb, but I finally changed my mind when realizing they are not really necessary here.
