Troglo 81
Another way to defend in Forth, The Three Hunters! contract : Arwen Undómiel defends early game the small attacks, then Háma indirectly defends by recycling and discard-drawing Quick Strike and Feint.
Attachments :
-
Háma : The One Ring, Strength and Courage, Dagger of Westernesse, War Axe, Rohan Warhorse, Magic Ring, Unexpected Courage
-
Arwen Undómiel : Round Shield, Windfola and / or Silver Circlet, Shining Shield, Light of Valinor
-
Gildor Inglorion : Celebrían's Stone, Valiant Sword and / or Dagger of Westernesse, Heir of Mardil, Round Shield
Attach the second Unexpected Courage to Arwen or Gildor, depending on the scenario. It's a very effective deck, except against scenarios with strong ennemies immune to players cards effects.

Apr 30, 2025Thanks for sharing that good ideas ! I agree with Open the Gates and Snowmane which I did not think to. I initially included Steed of Imladris but cut it away cause I just came back to this deck to try playing comfortably Deadmen's Dike (which is not really of discarding-like kind...) I tried Silver Harp here and Steward of Gondor but finally that did not really worth the inclusion imo. On the other hand, and like in the Mormegil's deck, I like to play Hama with Wait no Longer, so personnally I keep it there. I will post onine a more general version of this deck soon. |

Apr 30, 2025i do also personally like Wait no Longer but here it is to expensive for my taste. you can play it only every 2 rounds and then pay for nothing else in tactic. that can be done, but then you do not need many other tactic-events, so if keeping wait i would reduce Quick Strike you cannot pay both with only 1 tactic-res per round. |
Apr 30, 2025consider Miruvor to pay better for Wait no Longer |
Apr 30, 2025The budget tension on tactics is a little high, I agree with that. Regarding the usage and timing of Wait no Longer, it depends hugely on the scenario type / structure and its length. Several times the staging step got drawing treacheries and locations during 3 consecutive turns, where by definition I've had no opportunity to play some Feint or Quick Strike. Since I've had at least 3 ressources to spend, and did not want more location-lock, I was pretty happy to use the relevant 2 tactics resources of Wait no Longer. Then 1 resource was available yet, for playing Quick Strike or Feint. Miruvor is a nice option. I used A Good Harvest too, that just saved my game while helping to play the second Feint I needed :-) |
Apr 30, 2025Magic Ring on Háma is another way to help him to get this second resource. |
hero-setup + comtract is good.
combine heavy-noldor-issues with Háma is creative.
i would adjust a little bit.
to trigger Háma-ability you do not need to kill that enemy only attack, so i would not take 3 War Axe, he can only wield 1 and no other can. so i would reduce to 1 (if no better idea replace the 2 with Open the Armory)
another cards i would alter:
make Shining Shield 2 and Gondorian Shield 3 (every hero can wield a Gondorian Shield)
in solo i would replace Wait no Longer if no better use than with restricted 0-1 cost.
think about Snowmane, Háma likes it.
1 Warrior Sword seems valid to me.
would reduce Celebrían's Stone to 1. you have not so much carddraw, so a useless card in hand is bad.
there are enough restricted out thwere to fill (i mentioned some above)
i doubt you will use Heir of Mardil effective. you can put it on Arwen Undómiel or Gildor Inglorion but when? it only makes sense after send on quest, but gaining a res in that actionwindow, you do not benefit og that res in that round, you might usually use the res of Arwen Undómiel in the planning phase and thee you need no refresh.
some othwr restriced that are worth ro think of are the Steed of Imladris would take 3-2
