The end goal of this deck is to have a 2/5/4/3 Wilyador (Contract + Narya) that can be readied twice (Narya + Radagast's Staff) and help out wherever needed with both Ranged and Sentinel. Paying the resource each round to keep him around isn't difficult once the contract is flipped. Essentially, this is how I think about Wilyador in this deck.
Finding enough allies to play isn't usually difficult with Cirdan, the pups, and a plethora of card draw events. The pacing item is typically paying for them all. For that reason, Radagast's Staff is the most important card to look for in your opening hand.
I usually end up chaining the dogs together then finding whatever ally I want with the last one. Gavin and Bill the Pony are probably the least useful of the bunch, but there are only so many unique creature allies. You could always replace them with someone new after the contract flips. Lembas and Miruvor will typically go on Radagast to give him extra defenses when needed. The fall of Gil-Galad could combo with Landroval for threat reduction in a pinch, though I've never actually played it. Stand and Fight can help you flip the contract back if you loose a character.
The deck has excellent early willpower and decent starting defense, but it will take a while before it can really fight back so it might be good to pair it with a deck with some Ranged. Once the contract flips, the deck is quite potent in all phases of the game. I've typically been able to flip the contract after 4-5 turns which may be a bit slow, but if you can weather the start, you should be OK. Definitely not the strongest deck but something fun and different.

May 28, 2025I'm a simple man. I see Big Willy, and I give a like and a favorite. Nice deck! |
May 28, 2025Thanks Shellin! Such a great ally! |
May 28, 2025I played this deck and it destroyed Escape from Umbar. I didn't even flip the contract, and I won handily. |

Hey
@Birdman137
, JeffWL from BGG here. This looks like a great deck. I would maybe exchange Stand and Fight for extra copies of certain allies, but I'll give this deck a go on Dragncards soon.
