GrandSpleen 1438
Sometimes just putting willpower into the quest isn’t entertaining enough. For those times, how about a little mini-game? Sometimes simple village folk like Bilbo Baggins and Pelargir Shipwright become fodder for careless roving miners or nobles seeking to exploit others for their own means. These people are discarded without a second thought, admittedly not without material benefit. While your fellow players are off saving Middle-Earth from orcs, it is your job to rescue the townsfolk so that they may Stand and Fight for their right to make ships or do whatever it is that Bilbo and Elven Jewelers do all day. Have fun doing that!
The far-sighted Imladris Stargazer can help you spot them. And of course Beregond, man of the people, will stand up for everyone at the table.
The countryside is dotted with tiny villages, so bring your map. This can show you the location of villagers who can Stand and Fight some more, or a Dwarven Tomb which can lead you any number of treasures. In fact, when your deck is empty (not too hard with a few miners digging wrecklessly), that tomb combines well with that map to lead you to many tests of will which can see you through even the darkest hours.
