This deck uses the heroes Grimbeorn the Old and the recently spoiled Gildor (not Beregond and Amarthiul). I’ve been playtesting this deck a ton and it’s been absolutely smashing most quests. This deck tries to leverage Grimbeorns ability as much as possible with attachments like The Days Rising, Armored Destrier, Captain of Gondor, and Bow of Yew. I’ve got Honor Guards and Raven-Winged Helm to help soak up damage as well as making sure that The Day’s Rising triggers consistently so you can in turn use that resource to attack with Grimbeorns ability. Grimbeorn the Old has proven to be unbelievably powerful!
Grima is a wonderful cheap Lore hero which gives you access to master of the forge which is critical to help draw all these amazing attachments. And Grima has an awesome ability to boot, letting you for example play Steward of Gondor on your first turn and get up and rolling. Gildor has proven to be an incredible hero in this deck to help shore up questing while also being able to trigger his ability and draw cards nearly every turn (I put Steward on Gondor on Gildor so resources are a plenty with him).
Give the deck a shot and see what you think! Let me know if you have any comments or suggestions. Game on
