PablOvi 500
PablOvi has a newer deck inspired by this one: Army from Valinor
Heroes:
Notes:
- I've always found this deck extremely powerful... even more than it looks. It works well even with just two heroes.
- Erestor's ability is pretty useful but the deck works in the same way without him.
- Use Círdan and Erestor discard actions to play and cards (via Stand and Fight and Reforged).
- Erestor's discard action is better to be performed at the beginning of the combat phase.
- Discard attachments for Warden of the Havens +2
- Elrond and expensive allies can also be played via Elf-stone's response.
- If played this way, Guardian of Rivendell doesn't discard any card, since he is not been played from hand.
- Galadriel should always be played from hand.
- Erestor's discard action is better to be performed at the beginning of the combat phase.
- Guarded Cards:
- Use Reforged to play guarded cards from the discard pile.
- Play after quest resolution for avoiding questing costs.
- Mariner's Compass response can detach guarded cards from locations without exploration.
- Use Reforged to play guarded cards from the discard pile.
- Card draw accelerators:
- Círdan's ability + Erestor's action
- Glamdring + Stone of Elostirion
- Ancient Mathom
- Prepare for Battle
- Resource accelerators:
- Best targets for Narya:
Improvements:
- Elf-stone is not so relevant for this deck. It could be replaced for some other attachment.
- I would consider to replace the two copies of Rivendell Scout by Elrohir and Elladan.

Dec 03, 2022Hey! Thanks for your suggestions. Rivendell Scout is there just because he's cheap. But you're right, I rarely play it. Maybe I could swap them for the 3rd copies of Wandering Exile and Warden of the Havens. I normally use at least one copy of Will of the West playing this deck. I believe they are useful for recycling Lembas, A Test of Will, Reforged, and cards discarded because of To the Sea, to the Sea!. I prefer to keep them. |
Why do you have Rivendell Scout? While secrecy is possible it seems very unlikely. I would add a second Silver Circlet and Elven-light. Consider cutting Ancient Mathom and Elf-stone for more allies. Finally, I doubt you need Will of the West. This deck seems fairly fast.
