Discard Pile

I really like this deck... It works pretty well with just two heroes.
MotK Erestor is here for his discarding action (quite useful for boosting Warden of the Havens in the combat phase or for discarding cards that can only be played from there) and for having early access to resources. But Círdan and Glorfindel are enough.
This deck has pretty good chances in quests like solo Dol Guldur, if Erestor is chosen as the prisoner, or solo Return to Mirkwood where it is vital to have a low initial threat combined with a large amount of willpower. But also in quests like Nightmarish Anduin, where enemies, locations, and treacheries can ruin our day in just a flip.
It's not the most powerful deck out there, I agree, but I always have a great time playing it.
Heroes:
Notes:
- Mulligan for Light of Valinor.
- If it does not appear, we still have Círdan, Erestor and the Elven-lights to continue drawing cards.
- Narya's access to is not that important. There is no rush to get it.
- Use Círdan and Erestor discard actions to play and cards (via Stand and Fight and Reforged).
- Erestor's discard action is better to be performed at the beginning of the combat phase.
- Discard attachments for Warden of the Havens +2
- Keep in mind that we can also play off-sphere attachments (like Asfaloth and the Blade) with Galadriel.
- We need that response. Do not use Stand and Fight on her!
- Only play Elrond when his response is really needed.
- He is our best healer (we also have the Magic Ring) and our only choice to remove nasty condition attachments.
- Erestor's discard action is better to be performed at the beginning of the combat phase.
- Guarded attachments: Use Reforged to play them from the discard pile.
- Guardian of Rivendell's discard cost can be quite annoying if we still don't have a guarded attachment or Prepare for Battle in play, to boost card draw... having an empty hand would be a possibility.
- On the other hand, Eregion Survivor will benefit from that.
- Gather Information to find 1x cards like Silver Circlet, Magic Ring, or guarded attachments.
Sideboard:
- I'm not a big fan of the Sailors of Lune.
- They can be played on the same turn they are revealed, but so can the Eregion Survivors, and I do prefer them more.
- Mariner's Compass can detach guarded cards from locations without exploration.
- It was originally in this deck, but I barely used it for anything other than boosting Warden's .
- Thorongil would be an interesting option.
- It provides access to Erestor/Glorfindel versions.
- Thorongil's utility will be even better with ALEP's Glorfindel ().
- Will of the West is also an option since it is not so hard to have this deck empty by the mid/end game.
- On the other hand, if this happens, we still have the Lords of the Eldar to play with each turn.
its a valid deck, i would improve with:
