PablOvi 500

PablOvi has a newer deck inspired by this one: Just Like Havens

Just a minor change from the previous version of this deck, I removed the Magic Ring and added the Silver Harp.

I think this will be my last tweak, I'm pretty happy about how the deck performs. Glamdring is probably the remaining card I use the least, but in some scenarios it is a nice to have... so, it stays. :)

Heroes:

Notes:

  • Mulligan for Light of Valinor.
  • Narya's access to is not that important. There is no rush to get it.
    • We can wait until we have a couple of allies, or even some readying option for Círdan, before playing it.
  • Use Círdan and Erestor discard actions to play and cards (via Stand and Fight and Reforged).
    • Erestor's discard action is better to be performed at the beginning of the combat phase.
    • Keep in mind that we can also play off-sphere attachments (like Asfaloth and the Blade) with Galadriel.
    • Only play Elrond when his response is really needed.
      • He is our healer and our only choice to remove nasty condition attachments as well.
    • Silver Harp is here in case we don't have a clear discard for Círdan's action.
  • Guarded attachments: Use Reforged to play them from the discard pile.
    • Play it after quest resolution for avoiding questing costs.
    • Typically, you'll play only one of them per game. Glamdring is great for enemy-focused scenarios, although I typically play the Stone as its card draw is more consistent.
  • Guardian of Rivendell's discard cost can be quite annoying if we still don't have a guarded atachment or Prepare for Battle in play, to boost card draw... having an empty hand would be a possibility.
  • Gather Information to find 1x cards like Silver Circlet, Silver Harp, or guarded attachments.

Sideboard:

  • I'm not a big fan of the Sailors of Lune.
    • They can be played on the same turn they are revealed, but so can the Eregion Survivors, and I do prefer them more.
  • Mariner's Compass can detach guarded cards from locations without exploration.
    • It was originally in this deck, but I barely used it for anything other than boosting Warden's .
  • Thorongil would be an interesting option.
  • Will of the West is also an option since it is not so hard to have this deck empty by the mid/end game.
    • On the other hand, if this happens, we still have the Lords of the Eldar to play with each turn.

@PablOvi This deck looks like a lot of fun and very thematic. I'm going to use it for my DreamChaser campaign. Great work! Is Guardian of Rivendell the main defender?

Hey. Thanks for your comments and for giving this deck a chance :) @Roka I found The Cure to be a good soundtrack for questing in Middle Earth... Frodo should have choose them as traveling companion instead of Sam. :D
